OF DIRECTORS WORKSHOP MEETING THURSDAY,
NOVEMBER 4, 2010 – 10:00 A.M. – BANYAN ROOM
Barry Prince called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M.

Harry Sassower made a motion to accept the Minutes of the September 16,
2010 Workshop Meeting. Seconded by Larry Granet and passed unanimously. Treasurer’s

Business ·
Barry
Prince called upon Robert Dow to report on Comcast. Robert Dow assured all that
any problems that arise will be taken care of. He reported that an injunction
against Banyan Springs has been made by Terry Whitlock regarding the Comcast
contract. He also said that the matter was in legality and could not speak about
it publicly New

Barry
Prince said that the Budget for the upcoming year has been presented to the
Board for review. ·
Joel
Brusso made a motion to approve the mailing of the 2011 Budget to residents.
Seconded by Robert Dow and passed unanimously. Architectural

Two
applications were made and approved. Suggestion

Eileen
Kelner, resident, suggested that we have handicapped bars placed in the
non-handicapped booths in the ladies room in the Center. Barry Prince said that
he would look into it. ·
John
Fowler, resident, said that while the road work would be done by the City of ·
Annette
Pomerantz, resident, asked when the road work will be completed on Military near
our exit/entryway. Rick Leach said in a few weeks, but the entire project will
last about 2 years. ·
Terry
Whitlock suggested that we have police directing traffic at the entryway on ·
Sy
Fish, resident, thanked Barry Prince for the courtesy extended to him to review
and discuss the architect’s plan for the renovations to the ·
Howard
Weinberg said that he would like assurance that there would be enough donuts at
the next POA General Meeting to go around. Barry Prince assured him that there
would be. ·
Nelson
Kline, resident, asked if the
injunction, aforementioned, will affect Comcast keeping appointments with the
residents. Robert Dow said the appointments will continue between Comcast and
residents as scheduled. ·
Richard
Rose, resident, asked why 2 of his suggestions had not been replied to. Barry
Prince answered by saying that sometimes it is more expedient to answer
suggestions on a one-to-one basis, and he will speak with Richard Rose regarding
his suggestions. ·
Terry
Whitlock asked why the Treasurer’s Report could not be put on the Website
along with the Minutes. Joel Brusso said that our Website was not a secured
Website and that for security reasons the report will not be put on-line. ·
Eleanor
Zurier, resident, asked who the Defendants and the Plaintiff were in the
injunction, aforementioned. Rick Leach answered that the Plaintiff is Terry
Whitlock and the Defendants are Banyan Springs Board of Directors, which
automatically includes the residents of Banyan Springs, as the Board is elected
by the residents and represents the people. ·
Terry
Whitlock brought up the Comcast contract, at which time Barry Prince said the
matter is closed for discussion as it is in legality and cannot be discussed.
Larry Granet made a motion to adjourn at 10:35 A.M. Seconded by Paul
Whitney and passed unanimously.
