Update Rick Leach read the Management Report. Copy attached.
He announced that a decision was made to change our insurance carrier
from Citizens to American Coastal Insurance Company. The change will be
beneficial to us, as we probably will see a drop in premium rates, as well as
other benefits. The change will affect all associations in the community.
Barry Prince announced the fact that the Annual Board of Directors
Elections will be coming up in January of 2009. He said that there will be five
(5) term expirations and that if anyone knows of someone who would like to run
for the Board, to advise them to start thinking about getting their resumes
together for submission to Sis Robinson, the Chairperson of the Election
Committee. Old

Rick
Leach read a proposal from the TruGreen Landcare Company, who are our landscape
specialists, regarding treatment of Areca Palms in our community. A copy is
attached. There are approximately 400 Areca Palms
within the community, and about 1,000 on the exterior. At a charge of
$13,125.00 TruGreen will trim, cut back and do whatever they feel necessary to
improve the condition of some of the overgrown Areca Palms.
After some discussion, Larry Granet made a motion to accept the bid from
TruGreen Landcare Company in the amount of $13,125.00 for the proposed work.
Seconded by Joel Brusso and passed unanimously. ·
Rick
Leach went on to present a proposal from Allstate Fish & Wildlife
Management, copy attached, in the amount of $2,065.00 to place 200 Grass Carp
fish into our lakes. The presence of the Grass Carp will eliminate most of
the algae and weed growth in our lakes. It seems we have an abundance of growth
due to the amount of recent rain. He also reminded us that the former Fishing
Club, upon disbanding, had made a donation of $881.57 to the B.S.P.O.A.
expressly for the purpose of ridding our lakes of unwanted growth, by the use of
Grass Carp. This donated amount of dollars would reduce our expense down to
$1,183.43.
After some discussion a motion was made by Robert Dow to accept the
proposal from Allstate Fish & Wildlife in the amount of $2,065.00 to place
200 Grass Carp fish in our lakes. Seconded by Larry Granet and passed
unanimously. Suggestion

Mitzi Seidman suggested that we have Comcast remove the Spanish Channel
and replace it with a Channel for Old-Time Movies or a Tennis Channel.
Rick Leach advised that we have a contract with Comcast which provides
basic cable. Any resident that wants additional channels can order them at their
own cost.
Larry Granet made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:40 A.M.
Seconded by Robert Dow and passed unanimously.
Respectfully submitted,
Miriam Plonsky
