 Old Business

Barry Prince called upon David Lefton, who gave a report on the Beauty Salon renovations, due to the absence of the Chairman of that Committee. Copy attached.

David Lefton went on to say that presently he does not have a proposal to present to the Board, due to vacation time of several of the Committee members. He went on to say that the Committee will, in all probability, present the Board with a proposal for the renovations by September. One of the indecisions is as to what type of flooring the Committee will recommend for the Salon. After being asked how long will the project take, he said, once started it should be completed within 3 weeks with as little disturbance to the Salon patrons and operators as possible.

Barry Prince stated that there are some monies in the Reserve to pay for the renovations, but some items will have to be put into the upcoming Budget as line items. He also said that some renovations will be started in September or October of this year.

 New Business

Ellen Solmonsohn, Co-Chairman of the flu shot program, stated that the shots will be given to Banyan residents and outside communities on October 20, 2008. The hours will be 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. for residents and 11:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. for non-residents. Residents may also have their shots at the later time frame.

Robert Dow stated that announcements will be made on Channel 63 and on several Bulletin Boards throughout the community, as well as on our Banyan Website. He went on to say the Board passed a motion last year to allow intra community activities in the Center, as long as they were presented to the Board to vote upon.

Robert Dow then made a motion to allow COBWRA to have a Flu Shot Day on October 20, 2008 and allow outsiders to participate. Seconded by Al Kadin and passed unanimously.

From the Audience

Marvin Drazin, resident, asked what plans would be in store for the area behind the Fitness Center, better known as the “nude bathing area”.

Susan Rund, resident, asked if a Picnic Center could be made in the area.

Barry Prince said that the matter could be taken under consideration,

Jeanne Balsom, resident, asked the Board if her family could plant some trees in the rear of her unit in Terrace Homes #1, and they would pay for the purchase and planting of the trees.

Barry Prince said that she could present the plan to the Landscape Chairperson, David Lefton, for presentation to the Board.

Larry Granet made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 11:20 A.M. Seconded by Al Kadin and passed unanimously.

                                                        Respectfully submitted,
