S.P.M., Inc., completed replacing the outside wall of the
Ladies Shower Room, which had separated from the building and fallen down.
The repair required using tongue and groove cedar planking, which was the
original construction material and installing an 8’ foot bench at a cost of
$3,400.
In early August, the aluminum tree on the sign at the front entrance to Banyan
Springs was removed by vandals. CNC
Innovations, Inc. removed the tree from the other side of the sign for painting,
will fabricate a new tree and attach both to the sign using a more secure
method. The cost of the job is
$905.25 and we expect the repair to be completed and installed next week.
On August 17th, Top Branch Industries replaced landscaping on the
corners and around the sign at the front entrance.
In addition, Top Branch also installed new stakes on the Oleander Trees
for better support. The cost of the
project totaled $2,005.00 and was funded out of the Landscaping Improvement line
item of the budget.
The new Picnic Area also known as the Outback, with two new gas grills and four
tables with umbrellas was completed on Thursday, August 27th.
With the help of our staff, we poured the concrete pad, which saved money
and the project was completed for a total of $6,956.20, which included a
donation of $3,000.00 from the Social Club.
We anticipate lots of usage during the season by the many residents that
are unable to grill out at their homes. Rules
for use of this new amenity are available at the office.
Next Monday, September 14th, Papico Construction will be here to
begin the Annual Tennis Court Resurfacing Project.
This year, Courts 1, 6 & 7 will be resurfaced and the project should
be completed in one week, weather permitting.
Gold Coast Surfaces, Inc., is tentatively scheduled to begin cleaning, repairing
and sealing all cracks on the pool deck on Monday, September 21st.
The work will take approximately two days or so to complete and will
necessitate closing the pool area, so those that swim daily may want to use the
Cabana Pool during this time. Although
the schedule is set, it is subject to change due to the weather, so we will
confirm the date at the end of next week, we will post signs around the
Clubhouse and also on Channel 63.
Beginning next week, Management will begin scheduling meetings with Board
Members of the Condominium Associations, as well as the P.O.A. Finance Committee
to work on the 2010 Annual Budgets.
Respectfully submitted,
Rick Leach, L.C.A.M.
