Sunstate Cleaning Systems chemically cleaned the sidewalks at Cedar Point Blvd.,
Mangrove Drive, Cedar Lake Drive and Rosehill Drive on January 21st
and 22nd. The cost of
this project was $4,200.00 and was long overdue to be done.
On January, 28th, CJ’s Portable Welding repaired the track on the
resident’s gate at the main entrance, which had lifted up from the roadway and
was extremely noisy. The cost of the
repair was $1,597.50 and was considerably less than if we used a sub contractor
of TEM Systems.
Thompson & Thompson Fencing repaired a breech on the bottom of the perimeter
fence at the corner of
Boynton Beach Blvd
and Military Trail. Cost of repair
totaled $275.00 and was completed on Friday, January 28th.
Over the last month, a number of vehicles were entered, vandalized and one
vehicle was stolen overnight. In
most of these cases, the vehicles were left unlocked, which allowed persons to
rummage through the vehicles. Please
remember to always lock your vehicle and if you see any suspicious activity,
please call 911 immediately.
The Board approved a proposal to install additional street lights on
Hickorywood Place
,
Laurelwood Place
and
Shadywood Place
at the last Workshop Meeting. Fineline
Corporation was awarded the contract at a total cost of $6,533.65.
The light poles have been ordered and will take four to six weeks to be
delivered prior to their installation.
JJC Construction completed pouring the new sidewalk and stairs to the Rear Sun
Deck on Tuesday, February 16th. The
cost of this phase of the project totaled $2,060.00.
We will wait approximately one week for the concrete to cure before
beginning the work to install stair rails and the fence gate.
CJ’s Portable Welding along with Thompson and Thompson Fencing will be
completing the project. The total
cost for this improvement including the concrete work totals $4,577.00
Watermasters of Palm Beach, is expecting to deliver and install the new water
fountain in the hallway of the Clubhouse. The
inclement weather in the northeast has delayed shipment of the fountain, but
Watermasters has assured me that it will be installed by the end of this week.
The cost of the fountain including installation is $1,021.00
Raider Rooter was called out yesterday to snake and clear obstructions in the
drain lines of the restrooms adjacent to the Fitness Center and Showers at a
charge of $179.00.
This afternoon, the Board of Directors along with the President’s Council met
with Don Brady of R.V. Johnson Insurance Agency to go over the insurance
policies of 2010. The Liability
Policy has continued to decrease over the last few years and the Property
Insurance cost is remaining the same as last year.
The new policies renewal date is February 22nd.
A recent inspection by the Palm Beach County Fire Inspector has mandated that
the POA relocate one existing fire sprinkler head on the stage in front of the
retractable screen and also perform a 5 year inspection of the fire sprinkler
systems to inspect the interior of the sprinkler pipe for obstructions or
corrosion. DiLo Fire Sprinkler
Installations, Inc.will perform the work at a cost of $1,095.00, which will be
done within the next week.
The CPA’s at Lamn, Krielow, Dytrych and Company are currently finishing the
2009 Financial Statement and will be submitting a draft to the POA in the next
couple of weeks. Once approved by
the Board, it will be made available to all interested members of Banyan
Springs, and we will be posting its availability on notices around the
Clubhouse, as well as on Channel 63.
