Management has received 4 proposals to clean the sidewalks on Cedar Point Blvd. , Mangrove Drive and other locations in the community. After the vendors tested various methods of cleaning the sidewalks, we had decided that the bid from Sunstate Cleaning Systems provided the best results at a reasonable price. We will be presenting the proposals to the Board for review and approval later in this meeting.

The POA recently purchased new rubber coated weights and a new stand for the weights in the Fitness Center . The weights were requested by the Spa Committee and cost including shipping totaled $995.05.

Atlantic Refrigeration installed adjusting air conditioning vents in Card Room C and D as a remedy to better cool the Billiard Room. This was the most cost effective way of making the room more comfortable. In addition, Atlantic installed a remote thermostat in the Banyan Café to better regulate the temperature in the dining area.

Patio furniture, tables, chairs and umbrellas were ordered and put out on the back deck behind the Fitness Center Building to better enhance the use of this area by our residents.
We are awaiting delivery of two more umbrellas that will complete the area.

The POA is looking into replacement of the ground level lighting along the pathway from the pool to the Patio Villas and to Pine Drive , which will improve visibility for those that walk this route.

Back on December 28, 2009 , Boucher’s Gas Company replaced the Main Spa Heater, which was corroded and needed replacing. The cost was $2,449.50, which included installation. In addition, Boucher’s had to replace one of the Pool Heaters for the Main Pool last week. The total for the new heater was $3,301.50.

The Banyan Springs POA Annual Meeting and Election is scheduled for next Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in the Center at 9:00am and will reconvene at 7:30pm that night. The following Morning at 10:00am in the Banyan Room, the Board will hold the Organizational Meeting to elect Officers for 2010. Please remember to drop your Proxy by the office by Tuesday, January 19^th for Quorum purposes.

The U.S. Census Bureau is conducting Census Worker Testing tomorrow in the Art Room from 9:00am to 12pm . You required to bring a driver license or ID card and a Social Security Card for identification purposes. If you are interested, please stop by the office after the meeting to sign up.
