Organization:
The Banyan Springs Property Owners’ Association (POA) is managed by an
elected Board of Directors. The
Board determines general policies and specific
rules and regulations for the operation of our entire community.
Monthly and weekly (Workshop) Board meetings are open to the community
and all residents are encouraged to attend.
Current Board members are: Barry
Prince, President; Robert Dow, Vice President; Miriam Plonsky, Secretary; Joel
Brusso, Treasurer; Barbara Flaxman, Director; Arthur Beer, Director; Larry
Granet, Director; Alfred Kadin, Director and Paul Whitney, Director.
The President appoints Committees in areas necessary to the
functioning of the community. A
Suggestion Box is maintained in the Clubhouse lobby for residents with ideas for
improvements to our community.
The Board oversees a professional management staff which takes care of
the day to day functioning of our common property.
Rick Leach is our Property Manager.
Virginia Edwards, the receptionist, answers your calls and greets you at
the office window. Phone number is
734-4511. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8-12 and 1-4.
Within Banyan Springs, there are several condo or homeowners
associations. The president of your association can provide timely and accurate
answers to questions you are bound to have when moving into our community. Association

and Regulations:
The Rules and Regulations are voted
by the POA Board of Directors so that all of us can share the many amenities of
our community and maintain the value of our property. These rules are periodically reviewed and revised, as
necessary, with community input. Please
read the Rules and Regulations booklet enclosed in this package. Access:
Your electronic gate card or fob will permit you to enter Banyan Springs
at both the main Boynton Beach Boulevard entrance and the secondary entrance on
Military Trail. You must register
all motor vehicles at the office and obtain a numbered decal for each vehicle. A security bar code will be affixed to your car to permit
easy entry through either gate. All visitors must enter from Boynton
Beach Boulevard. At the left
entrance lane, there is a keypad. Visitors
must press the telephone icon, then key in the 3-digit telephone code assigned
to you by the office. This will
ring your home phone. After you
answer the phone and confirm your guest’s arrival, press 9 on your phone and
hang up. This will open the gate.
Remember to give your guests your telephone code number and driving
instructions from the gate to your home in advance.
You will also use your gate card or fob to access the main and cabana
pools, clubhouse and spa. Garbage
Disposal:
Garbage is collected on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Recycled items are collected on Tuesdays.
Plastic and glass bottles go in blue recycle bins; newspapers and other
paper items go in yellow bins. Please
use kitchen sink disposal unit for your food scraps to avoid pest problems. Maintenance:
As a condo owner, you are responsible for maintenance and repairs within
your home, floor to ceiling, wall to wall.
Patio Villa owners are responsible for the outside roofs and walls as
well. Beyond these boundaries, maintenance of all community areas
(lawn mowing, tree pruning, sprinklers, street lights, etc.) is performed by POA
personnel, with costs coming from either the POA or specific condo
association budget. If you see a
problem requiring maintenance, please fill out a “work order” and give it to
Virginia at the office. (See enclosed). Additional
forms are available at the office. For
community area maintenance emergencies, call the office at 734-4511.
The office must maintain a key to your home in case of emergencies.
These keys are kept in a secure place. Utilities: Electricity service FPL 697-8000
